To anyone interested in a winter cover for a J109. We are North Shore Canvas, Inc. and we make custom canvas and winter covers for sailboats. We have a duplicate J/109 winter cover which is brand new, never been used and we will give an additional $150 off our original promotion of $500 off before the boat shows. Please call me if you're interested. - Denise

This cover is our Deluxe which uses the boom as its main support. The Deluxe Cover also ties to each stanchion but extends approximately 10" past the toe rail with a fitted skirt. Each Stanchion has a zippered pocket and collar that ties closed. The cover consists of 3 pieces.  There will be 2 sections across the boom, separated at the gate area and a third section forward of the mast so there are access zippers at your gate area on the port and starboard sides as well as up the center of your transom. All of our covers are made with beige Top Gun material and sewn with Tenara Thread, which is UV resistant and guaranteed for life.

I have an earlier version of this North cover (2 sections rather than 3) that came with the boat when I purchased it from the previous owner in 2013. He had it made for the boat in 2006. These covers are great. Every few years I have the stitching inspected and redone where needed. I also created a support between the mast and the stem head fitting from a 2" x 3" board to support it during snow loads. The boom needs to be supported by the main halyard (I have a winter halyard) or via a wooden support under the boom. I highly recommend it.
