Outboard tracks
Does anyone knows the brand & measurements of the outside/outboard tracks mounted on a J-109? I want to install blocks in these tracks for outboard sheeting.

They are Harken. The midrange (27mm) series blocks fit on the tracks. The original tracks do not support the captive style ball bearings unless you remove the retainer band holding the balls in. You must use the blue plastic ball bearing loader when installing the cars.

Thanks! Are you sure? The tracks mounted are T-track, 27mm Midrange tracks are different, they are mounted for the genoa. Don't think these cars will fit a T-track...

Re: Outboard tracks
Yes I am sure about the jib car track that is installed per specifications. If you are referring to something else, please take a picture of it and post.
There is a single pair of jib car tracks on a J/109 as shown in the J/109 Owners Manual on page 12.
This is a picture of a Genoa car that fits on the J/109 track Harken G273B. This has the captive balls and needs the spring retainer removed to fit on the standard J/109 track.

Re: Outboard tracks
This is how I attach an outboard lead.
I put Wichard 6mm folding padeyes #6684 that are bolted with backing plates along the deck seam just aft of the stanchion by the shrouds. A block is clipped on the padeye and the outboard lead run outside the lifeline to the clew. The inside runs to the cabin top winch.
The picture below was taken when I was resealing the chainplates, but you can see the padeye.

Re: Outboard tracks
Thanks! You are absolutely right about the jib tracks, but I mean different tracks that are mounted on the outside, I haven't got a picture of them, I will ask the owner. These are T-tracks.
