Engine Compartment Insulation

The insulation is falling off the port side wall of my engine compartment, partially the glue failed and in one spot the insulation has ripped off the pad, perhaps indicating the insulation is fragile.

Has anyone done this repair before?

Is the insulation or glue special?

If I go through the trouble to replace the insulation, is there something better recommended?

This is on my rapidly growing list for this season. My initial plan was to replace the existing foam with dynamat dynacore.
