What is the recommended procedure on maintaining the rig tension when not sailing? Is it ok to leave the rig tight during the off season, or better to loosen it? What about between racing about 2 weeks apart? Mainly- If I had to tighten the rig for heavy air racing, is it ok to leave tight until the next race, or better to bring it back down to the middle range in between. For the off season, better to take it to the light air setting? Intuitively it seems better to take the tension off, but is that necessary for the long life of the rig? Thanks for the opinions in advance

Rule of thumb... never leave it abnormally loose or tight. We race in light-medium conditions most weeks, so leaving the rig as-is between races is ok. When the breeze pipes-up, we back-down to medium settings after the race. Can't hurt.
