Shower Pan Hose

Anyone rerplaced the shower pan hose from the pump to the drain on the underside of the shower pan? My hose is old and may have a hole in it, I think that may be part of the shower pumop not priming and pulling water. Prevoius owner has spliced new hose in the cabinet, but I fear this has just added to the problem.
