Just a feeler to see if anyone has a 145% or similar sized #1/genoa that they would be interested in selling. Sail must be in decent shape for local PHRF racing. Would prefer North or Quantum, but am open to other sailmakers.
Thanks, Todd

I show the availability of used equipment I have for J/109's here:
Would 138% work? It is available for $650.
Beware, with 138% you need people on the rail when the winds reach 13 knots.

Thanks Dan, That list format is fantastic. While I'm not familiar with Hathaway as a sailmaker, I will do a little research and get back to you.
I am familiar with how quickly the boat can be overpowered with a larger headsail, though it has proven to be a weapon to keep the power on when the wind fades quicker than the wave action. This is a common feature here in eastern Lake Erie.

I had a 155% with my boat I actually sold, never gave it a try, prior owner warned me it is too much sail. The Hathaway was slightly used at the time, and I went with that for a couple of seasons.
When I went for a new one, I chose Quantum 135% and have been mostly happy with it the last two years.
I really cannot imagine anything larger, as it gives me what I need to move in light winds, and when the wind pipes up, I quickly lose the advantage and it becomes a negative.
I race against a J/105 with a 155%, and she only seems to have a slight advantage over me is at 4 knots. We both seem to need a minimum of 2 knots to move, and her advantage is only deadly for us around 4 knots TWS, as anything less is not enough to finish the race before TLE.
