Has anyone figured out a way to install removable pipe cots for the salon without leaving ugly hardware or holes behind?

I've installed my first one on the port side. I made some wood sleeves for the pipes to slide in to and through bolted them at the sink and near the cupboard in the galley. Also through bolted them in the forward port hanging locker an in the V-birth area. I made the wood sleeves out of two by fours and cut out a grove that the pipes would slip into. I bought a stretcher on line and took it apart. Had to cut the pipes to fit and had my sail maker provide a Dacron berth with sleeves to slide the pipes in. The 2X4s are there when the berth is in and when it's not up and being used the wood is taken down and replaced with bolts and acorn nuts. I plan on making another one for the starboard side this winter. It doesn’t look bad at all and I'll be able to sleep two more people in the cabin. If you want some pictures let me know.
