Re: Removing the center table

I've owned my boat for 14 years and have only infrequently used the table. When we cruise, we find ourselves eating meals on deck instead of at the table. Other than as a small storage space, it provides no meaningful function. It gets in the way during spinnaker douses, packing the spinnaker, sail ...

Re: Engine control cables

So here is the relevant information about each cable: The governor and the shift cable are identical at 12'. The original cables were Teleflex CC17212 cables, but they are no longer being produced. The direct replacement is the Teleflex 3300. But wait, there's more: Teleflex is now Sea Star. Look fo...

Engine control cables

My stop engine cable and clutch/throttle cables are getting difficult to move. Has anyone replaced theirs? If so, what are the part numbers?

Thanks,
David

I also had the "mysterious sail drive leak" which the local yard fixed with the factory's help. The other known issue is the vented raw water exhaust loop in the engine room. The original equipment (stainless loop) is susceptible to pinhole leaks in the welds, as mine was. Every time I ran...

As part of my spring commissioning, I re-tuned the rig and adjusted the butt position - forward. It was fairly easy but somewhat time consuming (3hrs). I began by removing the table, then loosening the shrouds (equally from side to side and recording the adjustment). I then adjusted (lengthened) the...

I recently replaced my BEP Marine DC Monitor. About a week later, the screen went black and I assume the unit died. This is my second unit. Without stretching, I know this should not happen. I have two house batteries and one start battery. I have heard (although admittedly I'm a newbie J owner) tha...
