BEP Marine & Xantrex Battery Monitors
Thanks to Tim McElreath who sails on hull #59, we learned that the boats were built with different battery monitors. Previously the manual for the Xantrex Link 20 was posted on the Drawings & Manual page. Tim provided the pdf manual for the BEP Marine - BEP 600-DCM V3.2 Contour Matrix DC Monitor...

Re: Additional Genoa Cars
Dan, The original Harken Midrange cars #1537 or equivalent will work. The track only accepts the non-captive bearings so if you get the newer replacement, you need to remove the metal clip that holds the torlon bearings in place, or replace the original track with the newer series track that has the...

Re: Headstay length
Todd you are correct about the stud on the MkIII versus a regular turnbuckle on the MkIV. This however does not change the overall length from pin to pin. Vento Solare had the MkIV installed three years ago and the riggers matched the pin to pin dimensions. You may want to check the mast base positi...

When I first got Vento Solare the mast was too far aft resulting in too much headstay sag. The previous owner had a longer...

Re: Sprit Leak
Chris - for the lip seal try the number I posted above. The bearings may be more difficult as when I replaced mine they were the last ones. The pole diameter is the same as the J/105. What you might find on disassembly is the sleeve bearing have worked loose from the hull and sliding with the pole a...

This is on the Drawings & manuals page. It is on page 13 of the US Built owners manual. The part numbers are dated but a good start.

Re: Repeating Vang Settings
I put an arrow on both sides of the block and taped zebra stripes on the cylinder with numbers. My vang is double ended and normally controlled from the cockpit. The end by the mast is for knockdowns only. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/ADCreHdb8qEvSxroT-7OoLliocNs8wFLUz2NCkpnyXvtE6U2IHlTItidP...
