Has anyone figured out a way to install removable pipe cots for the salon without leaving ugly hardware or holes behind?

What is the measurement from the center of the rudder post to the center of the pin on the rudder arm? I used 10 inches and don't like how short the steering radius has become. I used 10" in order to accommodate the linear rudder reference unit.

thanks for bringing this issue up. Would installing the pump in the aft port locker, accessible via the door in the toilet comply with the requirement? The problem is what to do with the intake hose. It would be handy to have it coiled up in the back and
out of the way.

It might not be too late now, but it would really be helpful if J boats would insert a 4" tube on centerline under the Vee berth for the paddlewheel. The construction of the European version makes the job look even more difficult. I just did job this on hull #269 last week.

I have a new J109 sitting on a used trailer and need to transport it to Wisconsin. Does anyone have a recommendation as to a trucker?

I would like to talk to other owners who trailer the J109 themselves. What size truck do you use etc.

I'm still researching instruments and it seems to me that the best choices are either a Tack Tick system as the low price, simple system or the B&G 3000 or Ockam on the high end. Regardless of what system, the paddlewheel needs to be on centerline. The J 109 does not have a flat centerline in th...

I just ordered sails for my new 109 from North. My long time rep from Chicago recommended a bulletproof gatorback #3 with reefs points that will make it a #4. The sail will have vertical battens and can't be furled as a #4. I like this idea because it means I don't have to carry a #4 for that very o...

I have a new 109 and haven't experienced this problem personally yet. Does the halyard slip right away after taking off the winch. My previous boat was a Farr 40 OD and on that boat we hoisted the main only to a snug position. For upwind tension the cunningham (with significant purchase) was used. I...
