Winch Handle Holder Alternative

Post by Dan Corcoran »

My new winch handles, where you squeeze the body to unlock then, does not fit the existing handle holders.

I was thinking of getting something larger. like this blue performance holder BP3440

until I came across this simple holder.

Has anyone given either of these a try?

I have the Blue Performance holders. The added benefit is they double as beverage holders when winch handles aren't in them.

I'd prefer the first one.

I also went with the Blue Performance 608898-BP435. I sewed a short piece of webbing on the bottom and puckered the top slightly and was able to reuse the existing holes and screws. No usage problems with this setup after a year of use. Can't see the webbing either.

Do you have a picture of your modification?

We mostly reused the holes, but seem to be suffering that the pockets are angled. Lines in the cockpit easily snag the handles and pull them out of the pocket.
