I have collected information for the Yanamr 3YM30 engine and SD20 sail drive operation and maintenance used on the J/109. The following links should allow downloading information as PDF files. Wanted to let everyone know of a recent experience. I started my J 109 about a week ago and the "Water Proof" light came on and stayed on along with the warning buzzer. I figured it was probably the sail drive bladder warning and it was. After the yard did some examining and consultation with other Yanmar dealers on the east coast they determined it might be just condensation in between the exterior and interior bladders. After drying out the area they but the sensor back in and there was no more warning light. A week later still no warning light. Turns out a stretch of warm humid days can cause condensation to build up in there and the sensor (which is very sensitive) senses moisture not water.
