For our July event, where to keep our 109's?

Does NY Yacht Club have slips we can use, moorings, or will we find other places to keep our 109's?

NYYC does not have a lot of transient spots. Best to contact Sail Newport and line up dockage there.

ps - Good info on dockage at the 2017 J/Fest New England page.

Sail Newport seems out of the way, unless something is happening there. For example are pre or post race gatherings happening at Sail Newport or at NY YC (5 Halidon Ave?), or elsewhere?

Would the logistics be better for our teams if we all got slips in town, like West Wind Marina, which would put us close to airbnb style lodgings and hotels? (I was able to reserve 25 Pope Street for $640/night via airbnb, 3 blocks from West Wind Marina)

Dan - It's Newport in the summer. You don't want to be driving. Bring a dinghy or hail the Oldport launch! Why don't you call the NYYC sailing center and see what they might arrange.

Sounds good. But, where will the post race gatherings be located? Where is the hospitality villa mentioned on the website?

Dan - NYYC is the organizing authority. It is up to them. Typically whenever they hold events everything is at Harbor Court. Again - call the NYYC sailing center and speak to the folks there.

Are there any thoughts about having a North Sails training session on the water during one of our regatta's, like the one on Block Island?

I've spoken with Bill Gladstone about doing something before the NAs in Larchmont.
