12V freezer/fridge

Post by Ledal »

My boat's fridge is fine as a fridge but the little freezer compartment is not adequate (besides too small must run, on full, for a day to make ice for my Gin and Tonic.....). I am therefore thinking of buying a 12V freezer/fridge to use mainly as a freezer. Any specific recommendations? I know Waeco gets good recommendations but any specific models (or other brands)? I found some good here under-the-open-sky.com/best-cheap-coolers/. Low power consumption is very important.
Thanks a lot.

I always have a problem with my refrigeration turned up to high. Yesterday I found a frozen bottle of Evian on the shelf. Granted I am plugged in while I am not using the boat. Have you tried turning down the temp?

I have https://fridgesreviews.com/chefman-port ... ger-black/ fridge in my boat it has 4 liters storage capacity. It can act both as cooler and heater. Have a look at this may be you find it best for you.
