plumbing question - distributor replacement

Post by Dan Corcoran »

My 2-valve water distributor, where the two fresh water bladders come together, is confusing for crew to set in the correct position, and hard for owner to visually inspect. Unexpectedly found a full tank of water during winterizing that was probably with me during a handful of races.

As I am looking to mark it better, I wonder if anyone replaced with something better? Move the handles where they are easy to see?

I haven't had a problem. Just make some easy to read valve labels and perhaps a post valve lineup sheet by the valves:
Port Tank Supply - 1 Open, 2 Shut
Stbd Tank Supply - 1 Shut, 2 Open

and for the really unindoctrinated crew.... Left loosey (Open) , Righty tighty (Shut)
