Instead of leaving it to J/boats to run our class in the western Hemisphere, should we organize and run our Class? Is there any interest in convening a class organization meeting this fall, to include fleet captains and interested owners and crew? A meeting at one of the great Chicago clubs is more or less a day trip from both coasts. [For those who cannot attend in person, we can set up a simple dial-in] And in an afternoon, we can probably set up a process for selection of officers, organization and expansion of fleets, completion of the class rules, designation of class events for 2006, dues, sailtags, etc.
