(continue the above) Purchasing Fire Fly's competitor product (since FireFly had no stock at the time) had me realizing this and upgrading the protection system of the 109, which became a little involved (primarily for space reasons). For example, the starter and alternator use a single conductor red cable, sending current either way depending on function. The addition of a second heavy cable was not fun, along with the dedicated signal ground recommended by Balmar, was just the beginning of the upgrades, along with large T-fuses, a DC-DC charger to cover the different voltages of an Odyssey Extreme vs. a standard LA battery, which caused me to already perform almost everything on the path to Lithium. The slightly different charging profile of the Odyssey Extreme was an exciting conversation to have with the manufacturer, like (*@&#(@*&#@(*#& are users supposed to know that? I wonder if this degraded your Firefly experience?
