Hey guys,
What are you using/replacing and what supplier for a new main sheet?
I look forward to your advise.
Thanks

I like the Samson WarpSpeed II. It is 24 strand polyester cover with Dyneema core. I use 3/8" x 95 feet with eye splice on one end, whipped on opposite end. New England Ropes Endura Braid Euro Style is a similar line that is also good.

Both of these lines are widely available at various chandleries and rigging shops in the US. I don't know what their availability is down under.

Thanks Bill - looks like West Marine have 30% off this right now.
How do you find the handling of the 9mm 3/8 size versus the 11mm 7/16 size? I imagine it runs better through the system?

Carl,

The 11mm is just too thick to easily run through the blocks. The high tech lines have very little stretch and 3/8" diameter is sufficient.

Best regards,
