While following a Yanmar thread on a different site, the discussion was regarding transmission position while saiilng. I am under the impression that it should be in reverse (engine off) while sailing. I have the Yanmar 3YM30 and I am pretty sure I read this in the manual or the kanzaki manual.
What do all of you do? Reverse? Neutral?

Re: Transmission while sailing
Per Yanmar Technical Bulletin YMTQTB11-017 paragraph 2.2 b. you may leave the SD-20 sail drive in reverse when you have a folding prop.
