Anybody else out there have an issue with their coolant leaking? It seems that about every other week I need to add a pint or more of coolant to the system to replace what has disappeared. Cannot find an obvious leak in the system, was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

I had this problem early in the season and now its fine. I chalked it up to things working through the system after spring commissioning.

We were having this problem on hull #204. It was the engin water connections going into and out of the water heater that were leaking when hot. We replaced the plastic connectors with brass and fixed the problem.

I found my coolant leaking at the hot water heater connections as well. It turns out the fittings that connect the coolant hose from the engine to the hot water heater and back to the engine were made of low temperature plastic, and not the right material for the high temps of the coolant going to the heat exchanger. I have asked Pearson Composites to send metal (?brass) fittings as shown in their photos in the technical bulletin. These low temp fittings could be a major problem, mine were very close to failing when I discovered the problem. If the fittings fail, all the engine coolant would quickly drain in to the bilge and quickly overheat the engine.
