I have just had a survey completed on a 2004 109. The survey found a crack in the gelcoat over the chainplate knee. When the gelcoat was sanded off, it became clear that there is an area intentionally drilled out in the chainplate knee stringer fiberglass that was then filled with a brown filler. There is a through and through crack in the filler, and this exists on both sides. Has anybody seen this or have any advice? I am reluctant to purchase this vessel without more clarifacation. I have pictures for anybody that is unclear on what I am describing. jdfe@msn.com
