The J/109 Class Association Forum

I am considering entering the 2013 Marblehead to Halifax race in my J/109. I am interested in any advice or suggestions for racing a J/109 in an ISAF category 2 offshore race, i.e. necessary modifications to the boat, number of crew, watch schedule, etc.

I am interested in purchasing a used storm trysail and storm jib.

I am a new J109 owner this season, hull #174. i currently have one Ockam display over the companionway and 2 on the mast. I am trying to decide if I should have something at the helm and what it should be. Should it be a GPS and if so what size? Is there any way to display tactical software output ...

I have recently bought a J109, #174. It currently does not have the 2 bookshelf and cupboard combination on each side. I would like to add them. Does anyone have any advice as to what's involved in doing this? Or have any of you removed yours and would like to sell them?
