Look here on the Balmar site and match to your engine / alternator.

Re: Alternator Belt Dust Fix
I am at the point of purchasing the 48-YSP-3YM-B kit for my 3YM30 and 110 Amp Alternator.
1) Is it any easier to get the right tension, or during this conversion does it make sense to also purchase the balmar belt buddy?
2) Which version of the belt buddy is for the 109?

You can do the tensioning using levers and tension, but it is easier with the belt buddy.
If you have a 3GM as I think you do, this is the standard kit: https://shop.pkys.com/Balmar-48-YSP-3GM ... _4809.html
It all depends on whether you have the stock alternator and associate pulley sizes. Browse that site to see if there is a better match.
