Wood finish blushing
Has anyone refinished the wood interior and had good results?
Second question, and this is sure to spark plenty of debate, what's the best thing to refinish it with? I'm guessing an indoor/outdoor polyurethane would be best like a minwax helmsman or varnish like an epifanes? Poly's are just such a pain, especially oil based. Such a long time between re-coats, hard to fix mistakes or touch up and the odor takes a really long time to dissipate. I'm wondering if an oil based lacquer or maybe even a water based poly would be sufficient? It is after all technically an interior application even though it will come in contact with some water/wet clothes occasionally.

Going to reply/add to my own post. Unfortunately this is not the only time I've been known to have complete conversations with myself
Anyone have experience with Petit SeaGold? Sounds like a miracle product, at least according to the manufacturer. Water clean up, low/no odor, no sanding between coats and quick re-coat time. Sounds too good to believe. I'm always a bit leery with water soluble products when looking for something water resistant. Link to the SeaGold page if you're interested: http://www.pettitpaint.com/products/var ... h/seagold/

Re: Wood finish blushing
HI All, Jumping in on this older post. I'm refinishing doors and several other below decks pieces. Has anyone found a conventional polyurethane that matches the satin finish of the TPI built boats?

Hi #eshanabrook #VentoSolare
can you provide before and after to see if the Epifanes Rubbed Effect Varnish matched the interior?
Thank you!

No pictures handy but it matched as it was what TPI used on the cherry when they built the boats.

Thank you for the reply! I just picked up a can of it and started sanding.
