I'm going to attempt to install a B&G H1000 autopilot myself. I am look for advice as to where to mount the hydraulic ram. Pictures of an existing installation would be greatly appreciated.

This is excellent, exactly what I was looking for. I was thinking that the box structure that surrounds the hot water heater would be a good mounting point but I wasn't sure about its strength. Thanks

What is the measurement from the center of the rudder post to the center of the pin on the rudder arm? I used 10 inches and don't like how short the steering radius has become. I used 10" in order to accommodate the linear rudder reference unit.
