Re: 2025 NA Championship Spinnaker Rule Change Proposed
Did this rule pass? I recently raced against another 109 who claimed that a 120sq m was legal on Lake Erie. I have a 108sq m and according to Quantum that is the largest I am permitted.

NAC-3 Autopilot and RF25N Rudder Sensor
I’m commissioning a new B&G NAC-3 autopilot on “Justified” (Erie PA) using a Vulcan 9R, Precision-9 compass, and RF25N NMEA 2000 rudder feedback sensor.
The only issue preventing commissioning is the RF25N. During rudder calibration, the displayed angle doesn’t change smoothly with wheel movement ...

Bilge pump timing and water inside the boat
The J109 bilge arrangement sucks (pardon the pun). The pump runs just long enough to pump out the bilge section that the pump sits in but not long enough to pump out the forward section where most of the water sits. So I added a time delay relay to the bilge switch and forced the pump to run 20 ...

Re: What is best way to make inhauler low friction rings removable?
I use Ollie low friction rings. If you ease the sheets so that the rings just hang over the stainless hand rain they are not in the way and are not constantly laying on the deck.

Re: How Things Work, Blower Question
I spent a lot of time in the back of the boat repairing the glass and core from a leaky radar dish pole. I have never heard the blower continuously running. The fridge compressor is all that I have heard when the key isn't turned. I am far from an expert on the matter but mine doesn't run all the ...

Re: Bubbles
I owned and raced a J/33 that is in your area. It is now called Republic. I won BOY and the Lake Erie Interclub with that boat. I am happy to be in a J boat once again.
I found leaks in a number of deck fitting areas and I have a plan to rebed the entire boat.
Thanks for sharing. What is the name ...

Re: Bubbles
I am the new owner of hull 240. The water infiltration came from the radar post that had 6 inches of black water in the tube, likely for years. The water then infiltrated the core and then froze. I am in the middle of fixing the damage. The first thing I did was drill a hole in the radar post where ...
