Re: Lifeline replacement

I had synthetic on my j/33, 1/4 inch sampson dyneema. switched back. lots of inspection/maint headache. How frayed is too much ? how confident are you in 25/35 knots ? approximately yearly replacement. no thanks.

Pre feeder for jib ?

Has anyone mounted a prefeeder on the jib foil? If so how, lashing? Screwed into the flat aft face?

genoa car block replacement

I had Harken carbo 40 fiddle blocks on the forward ends of the genoa cars. Both broke across the smaller sheave this weekend in 25 or so knots gusts with the class jib up (and no barberhauler). Fortunately only one break was very explosive and the car did not come off the track, so we could jury rig...

windseeker for < 2 knots

Has anyone used a windseeker on 109s ? a very lite~ 90% free flying luff jib. mostly just works to create and direct some flow over the main. I had one for both a j/33 and 27 that worked very nicely, but haven't made one up for this boat yet.

Re: cabin door latch replacement parts?

Thanks, I took the door off and disassembled the latch, the interior mechanism had jumped it's catches, perhaps from getting hit by a foot or something during a spinnaker takedown when it was accidentally locked and the door closed. It was not actually broken, and when reassembled, works fine. I ord...

cabin door latch replacement parts?

the forward cabin door latch mechanism broke in a particularly obnoxious way, locked closed. had to take the door off the hinges to open it, but now I'm looking for the replacement. 2004 us built, no marking or serial numbers on the latch of course. any Ideas?
thanks.
Todd.
