High, quick question about lifelines. I am in the process of switching out my wire lifelines to spectra. I have the starboard side complete. First question is that I want to confirm that 5mm spectra will be legal for the North Americans. Second is If I have one side Spectra and one side wire is that legal? I should be able to complete the port side, but if not may I still race with a truly asymmetrical lifeline boat? !!!

Please check Class rule 4.3.15 and follow link to WS OSR that states 5 mm Spectra is required. I would suggest using 6 mm to give more safety for shafing.
