Outhaul line sucked into forward part of boom

When we were rigging the boat this year we accidentally sucked the leading part of the outhaul into the front of the boom and it is not retreivable externally. Has anyone disassembled the front part and relead the outhaul through the 16:1 pulley system? Any tips?
